This painting  is about what it means to develop oneself into a 'key player' whilst navigating multiple heritages, ambitions, and identites .  To me, looking the part and playing the part often overlap, but are not the same, and here, I question the politics of these aesthetics. I also highlight the balance between the traditionally masculine and feminine; confidence and grace.
