This painting is about the multiplicity of self. I wanted to capture the undulating  dream-like state of tranforming into other versions of oneself, especially the overlap between the 'real; self and the virtual self.  I was also exploring the  tension between a completely open, ambiguous future, and its ties to a definitive past. The skin is painted as a semi-permeable membrame; a reactive barrier  between  internal and external worlds.
